The piece represents the plentiful of gifts the earth offers us everyday and how creatively we can enjoy them, as Ricardo does. At first, I have created a 25x35cm piece with very small details (on top) and share with Ricardo who suggest me to create it on a big format for his office (on the bottom), the big piece is an exact copy of the original art following the same handmade processand using bold brushes. The piece showcases a very elaborated composition with small elements. Fruits, vegetables, meals and culinary illustrations are bursting out of the letters, spreading on all sides of the brand name and forming on a negative space the company's logo.
The final big format art took around 40 hours of drawing from sketching by pencil to final tracing. It was faster than producing the initial small format because the elements were already defined and placed. The small artwork needed more time to elaborate as it was necessary to start from a scratch concept and create a balanced well-defined composition. Around five weeks of intermittent work resulted in an balanced and harmonious creation.
The full canvas was framed and featured in the Ricardo media main reception area. It was very satisfied to see how the canvas was incorporated to the beautiful interior design of the office.
